
Herbal Medicine Making Circles​
Come create botanical medicine and explore the foundations of herbalism.
Build a home apothecary from locally grown herbs.

This class is perfect for anyone interested in exploring herbalism, caring for the holistic health of themselves and their loved ones and deepening familiarity with how to infuse locally grown plants into nourishing food and medicine while exploring the energetics of herbalism.
​
Lifelong learners and those simply want to join with others in a creative space are welcome.
​
We will travel deep and keep it light, developing a relationship over time with plants and herbal remedies as they present themselves seasonally.

You will make herbal oils, syrups, tea blends, tonics, nourishing treats and more!
And you'll get to take something home that we make together.
$45 per class or $225 for the series (one class free)​

This series complements our "in the garden series" held mostly outdoors at Trillium Woodland Apothecary where we will spend time in the garden and surrounding woodlands touching on plant identification, cultivation, foraging and harvesting. Classes are designed to be stand alone or taken as a series that will strengthen and deepen patterns of awareness with the flexibility to come and go as you are able.

​Our Friend, Violet & Herbal Oils
April 26 ~ 2-4:30
Participants will gain familiarity with a diversity of wild spring greens, exploring the of ways they can be infused into food, tea, massage oils and healing balms. We will explore violet and all the ways it lends itself to herbal food and medicine. Together we will prepare a violet massage oil for your own sweet self care.

Nourishing Nettles & Herbal Oxymels
May 24 ~ 2-4:30
Let's get to know Nettle and all the creative and nourishing possibilities this powerful plant packs. We will meet and incorporate nettle and other seasonal allies into teas and vinegars, exploring creative ways to receive mineral rich and tasty herbal infusions. We'll make a nourishing herbal oxymel together with local honey.

Calendula & Body Butter
July 26 ~ 2-4:30
Brighten up your day with this beam of light and explore the deep cellular healing it brings. We will bring in a little rose too, to open our hearts and explore collective healing, inside and out.
You will get to make an herbal infused body butter and explore these two abundant gifts and how they lend themselves to heal us inside and out.

The Elders & Herbal Syrups
August 23 ~ 2-4:30
As the flowers begin to berry, we'll touch on so much wisdom in simple and yummy ways to strengthen and protect our immune systems as the summer begin to wane and the flowers are turning to fruit. You'll take home a bottle of elderberry & rosehip syrup made with local honey for immune support and try our some other herbal syrup recipes in class.

Roots and Broth Blends
October 25 ~ 2-4:30
Meet the autumn root harvest and the many ways it can be incorporated into healing and immune supportiing remedies through infusions into tinctures, cough syrups, teas and food. We will learn how to make a cough syrup and prepare an herbal broth bags for you to take home.

Aromatic Herbal Incense
November 22 ~ 2-4:30
Together we'll explore all the sweet and spicy scented plant that can be harvested locally. Scent is a beautiful place to linger and explore, a simple way to transform a space, a mood... a call to presence. As we settle inside for the winter months make herbal burn bundles and incense cones. You'll take home a few incense cones and an herbal burn bundle. ​​
