Nature Based Outdoor Education.

Each  class we will tune into the happenings of the natural world with curiosity and wonder, under the guidance of a naturalist and experienced outdoor educator.

Each class will follow the flow of in breath and out breath...

Time to play and explore balanced by time to move our focus inward on story, art & listening...

Hands-on Outdoor Learning, Awe & Art

We offer nature based exploration accompanied by hands-on activities, art and story.

Classes are offered upon request, held at our home with the woodlands, gardens and apothecary as our classroom.

Classes will always be reflective of the local environment and seasonal unfolding, attuned the flora, fauna and elements present.  We embrace wonder and go with the flow ~ prepared and adaptable.

Below are examples of class themes.   Most of my herbal classes can be adapted and made age appropriate.

Woodland Wonders

Vernal Pools and Spring Ephemerals

Looking for frog eggs, wildflowers and other spring delights ~ bring rain boots!

Wild Weeds & Foraging Adventure

Go on a foraging walk, joyfully tuning in to details that help us

develop the skill to collect wild foods.

Make a wild snack together to share while we share stories

that will help us continue our foraging journey.

Nature first aid!

Learning useful plants for minor injury

and creating our own herbal infused healing salves

from plants we collect and beeswax from our honey bee hives.

Botany and Butterflies

Take a plant walk and meet the host plants of many native butterflies

Make our own sweet treat, herbal popsicles, from herbs we harvested in the garden

Eat them while we share a story.

Create leaf impressions through various methods.

The creative options are endless as is Earth's complex biodiversity. Our gardens are rich with wonder.

We embrace earth based arts and activities, tuned into the seasonal timing and unique group attending.

Please email with group size and possible dates and specific themes and we can set up a time to explore a seasonally appropriate activity for your group.
